To activate your Google+ account, go to Google.com. You will see +You in the upper right hand of the screen. Click +You which will bring up the One account screen. Simply log in with your gmail and password. If you do NOT have a gMail account then all this means is you will take an extra minute to create an account as part of this third step. If you have already activated Google+, when you go to Google.com, you will see your name with a +sign next to it.
The “about” sections can easily be edited by clicking on the “edit” button in each section. You’ll notice that you can customize what is viewable by the Public, your Circles or Just You. After you’ve updated your information, click save and you’re done.
The last section of your About should not be neglected! The Links section will include your Google+ URL. However, you can add other relevant links such as your other social media account links to make it easy for educators to find you on Twitter for example. If you have a website or blog, include the links.
You can go back and add your cover photo anytime. It will appear in its entirety to the right of your profile photo and information. A frosted/blurred section of the cover photo will appear on the left side, behind your profile photo and information. You can design a custom cover photo with perfect dimensions using Canva.
